Binghamton has quickly become a competitive schoolJan 26 2009Undecided
Binghamton has quickly become a competitive school. Good grades are important for admission and extra activities never hurt. Join clubs and be involved, study hard and get good grades.

do extracurriculars and study hard for the sat, repetitive as it may sound its very important
ACT: 31 Male

Grades are important as well as an extra curricular activity. Very selective. However I was accepted here and not Geneseo, so it might not be the most selective. STUDY FOR SATS.
SAT: 1290 Male

Well, I transferred in with "the biggest transfer pool yet" (which seems to happen each year), but with a decent SAT/ACT (not talking 1400s+), proof that you took the difficult classes in high school (AP/IB), and a few nice-looking extracurricular things going on (volunteering, work experience), it shouldn't be a problem.

However, this past acceptance class brought in way too many freshmen... there are still ~200 forced triples on campus. Don't know if this will affect future applications!
ACT: 28 SAT: 1340 Male

I had a crappyJun 26 2008Economics
I had a crappy SAT score and only a 89 average out of high school, getting into the engineering school is easy. Get in that way and then do well your first semester and transfer into whatever school you'd like.
SAT: 1160 Male
